You are desire. It is the essence of the human soul, the secret of your existence. Absolutely nothing of human greatness is ever accomplished without it. Not a symphony has been written, a mountain climbed, an injustice fought, or a love sustained apart from desire. Desire fuels our search for the life we prize. Your desire, if you will listen to it, will save you from the sacrifice of your heart on the altar of “get-ting by.” The same old thing is not enough.
It never will be.
Life as usual is not the life you truly want. It is not the life you truly need. It is not the life you were made for. If you would only listen to your heart.
You will find the meaning of your life is revealed through experiences you wish would never end. Those timeless experiences you want to last forever whisper to you that they were meant to. My friend, you were made to live in a world of beauty and wonder, intimacy and adventure all your days, and what your heart responds to there you will find is God pursuing the deepest places of your soul.
